What is one thing (most important) this year that you want to accomplish?
- How are you going to make it happen?
- What steps are you going to take?
- Who is going to keep you accountable?
- Is it a realistic expectation?
- How much time is it going to take? Do you need to break it into smaller goals?

My youngest child is going to be 5 this February (insert…OH MY WORD). I truly can’t even believe how fast time has gone by. One thing that has happened over time is that I have not been living a healthy lifestyle. I eat whatever I want, I don’t exercise on a regular basis and I am starting to get worried. I turned 35 this year (again insert….OH MY WORD) and for the first time in my life I FEEL OLD. I am 4 pounds away from weighing what I weighed when I was 9 month pregnant with both my kids and I don’t like it.
Here is my Goal: I am going to lose 20 pounds this year.
- I am going to start water aerobics tomorrow 2x’s a week
- I am going to stay positive even when I have a headache and I feel like it has thrown me back into the crazy cycle of feeling sick, eating crap, not sleeping, gaining more weight.
- I am going to go see a Dr about my foot (I sprained my ankle in May and it still hurts every day). I am going to make an apt tomorrow!!! Once I see the Dr I hope to add more cardio and weight training to my routine.
- I added Sparkle People on my iPhone so I can keep track of how many calories I am eating.
- Lots of fruit, veggies and water.
- I have a great bunch of girlfriends who are helping keep me accountable.

Goals are so good. I have a hard time following through on them but am working on that. Here are mine for the near future:
1) Exercise with intention – That’s what Jillian Michaels always says and it is so true. I have been exercising but not with intention and am going to work on that.
2)Eat better – more fruits and veggies, drink my water, get my mocha only 1x/week, eat less junk food. And feed my kids healthier foods.
3)Get my house under control – some areas are such a mess!
4)Spend more time loving on my kids, being with them, less time on the computer.
5)Be a better wife to my wonderful husband.
6)Most importantly, give all of this to God and stop trying to control my life by myself. Read the Bible more, pray more, listen to Him more.

Making this kind of goal means that I actually have to sit down long enough to think it through, with out interuptions…Haven’t had a chance to do that yet
Sarah, I love that you have it all planned out. That’s the way to go. I need to think this over and get back to you. I know there are lots of things I want to accomplish this year!
